What to do if it rains! I keep my schedule flexible and always keep a couple of days open so I can work with my clients to find the best spot of sunshine! Hilton Head generally has great weather, especially during the summer season and most clouds tend to blow right over... but occasionally we get stuck with cloudy days. Clouds can lead to beautiful and dramatic backdrops! and a gorgeous family photo can happen in any light... especially with a gorgeous family! Here are some of my favs from a recent cloudy day session...

Had a wonderful time taking pictures of this gorgeous graduating senior and her family... We did about six different locations and several outfit changes... and fed some happy puppies many treats and at the end of the day got to enjoy a beautiful beach sunset... This past year has been a challenge for everyone... and it has made me ever more thankful than that I can call Hilton Head my home. Fresh air and sunshine... and a few extra months with my college bound son living at home made the year memorable. Time spent with family... virtual hugs and all, it seems that life slowed down just a little... and now we all get to catch up! So... here's to my families who made it to the beach and the wonderful memories they made... may your lives continue to thrive and your experiences grow.

Last minute Holiday sessions available!!

Back by popular demand! I am offering last minute holiday mini sessions here in the studio. Each session lasts thirty minutes and includes up to thirty hand edited images in a downloadable web album. You can change as often as time permits and there is no extra charge for extra family members. If the weather cooperates we can pop outside for some quick outdoor shots! Also, holiday hats and headbands will be provided as an option. The cost for the session is $285 with a 10% discount for any client who has scheduled a session earlier this year.

Sessions are being scheduled for Sat. December 3rd thru Sat December 11th and I guarantee that you will have your images in time to create a wonderful holiday card or gift... 5X7 templates available with session!

Okay... Despite the tantrums, the meltdowns, the cloudy days and the busy schedules... I love this time of year! Family portrait time! It is wonderful to get to catch up with my client's ever growing and changing families. We had a great time and with a little patience and persistence, fancy camera work and some sleight of hand... I was able to capture something of the best in each of these wonderful families. Here's a small sampling :)

As a photographer I love to experiment with different display options and I often get asked by my clients what are some of the best ways to display all of these gorgeous images now that we have them. Well, a wonderful way to show off your beautiful images is to create a gallery wrap. These days they are easy to order and come in all shapes and sizes and prices. However instead of having just one large wrap made I encourage you to consider making a gallery wrap collection. This is easily done by having several wraps created and hanging them together to make one beautiful display. Let me give you an example...

This is a collection above is a set of of wraps sized into a square and hung together. It really makes a beautiful collection.

This collection above is a set of smaller squares... hung to create one large square. You can choose any size squares depending on the wall space you have available. Here's another example from a maternity shoot I did recently.

This top one has some of my favorite images but then I added a couple in this next example:

Again, you can alter the size of the wraps to accommodate the wall space you have available and I encourage you to have fun with the layout of the shapes and images. Here are a few more to take a look at.

For any of my clients interested I am always happy to help you lay out and order a gallery wrap collection from your session. I order the wraps directly from your web album... and my fee for layout and ordering is included in the wrap cost. So have fun... whether you come up with a plan on your own or need a little help... these wall art collections are a great option to display some of your favorite life moments!
